1965 Iso Grifo A3C Bizzarrini - MILLION Dollar Super Car!

This 1965 Iso Grifo Bizzarrini is the million dollar sports car you've never heard of. Well, maybe you've heard of it, but when's the last time you saw one in person? I loved getting up close and personal with this car, as it's one of only 20 built with the aluminum body. The crazy thing is that the body is riveted to the inner structure and the rivets are exposed...so you have this beautiful sports car with hundreds of rivets all over the body. It's a really raw look, but the beautiful paint creates a fun mix of textures.

Sports cars and super cars of the '60s used all sorts of exotic engine combinations, but this one goes straight for the jugular with a rowdy 327 cubic inch small block Chevrolet V8 engine. While some might consider that a brutally simple engine, the 327 offered great torque and rpm capabilities. Check out this awesome Bizzarrini that was up for auction at the Mecum Auctions Kissimmee, Florida auction. I really wanted to take this thing home, but it hammered at just north of a million bucks...not quite in my comfort zone.
