Congresswoman Bonamici Arts Education for All Event

On Friday, October 15, Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR), Chair of the Education and Labor Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Human Services, hosted a virtual rollout of her Arts Education for All Act, legislation that will address equity gaps in access to arts education for K-12 students and youth and adults in the justice system.

The Arts Education for All Act has already been endorsed by over 100 national, state, and local organizations, including Americans for the Arts, National Association of Music Merchants, and Grantmakers for the Arts.

Participants in the event included: Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici, Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, Josh Groban, Brooks Ashmanskas, Eddie Torres of Grantmakers in the Arts, Dr. Wanda Knight of the National Art Education Association, Mary Luehrsen of the NAMM Foundation, and students from the Northwest Children’s Theatre and Play it Forward.
