Victoria 2 Review in 2024 - Why is it still so awesome?!

Victoria 2 is one of the Paradox Classics (TM), but how does it shape up in 2024? When the game released way back in 2010, it was well before Paradox truly took off as a recognized blockbuster company. In some ways and even though it does indeed take time to learn, Victoria 2 offers a great base for a strategy game, and in many ways, alongside the fabulous music, makes it so. But the lack of numerous post-launch updates and DLCs, which Paradox has become known for ever since CK2, makes Victoria 2 feel kind of featureless and empty compared to anything that came after it.

It is kind of crazy to think that Victoria 2 released before even CK2 did, but time must always move on.
