Aitutaki Cook Islands interacting with locals Polynesians with coconuts street walking vieW

This video is about interacting with local Polynesians while I was on fruit hunt.
After 5 months of long stay in Cook Island due to covid 19, finally I'm back. I'm grateful to all people for helping me during my trip. People often ask why I came to Cook Island. I had never known about this place before until one day last year I was searching for affordable paradise on google, then Aitutaki came to the 2nd place (forgot where was the 1st). Anyway so I arrived to Cook Island with sickness that I thought my body would automatically heal by itself as it mostly did before. However, I just got sicker and sicker to the point I needed medical attention. Anyway I survived, and you can surely tell how sick I was in the video. I came across to this local man Chris was harvesting coconuts. He's gonna to open a little food stand for selling fresh coconut juice by the main road. Later on he introduced me to his family and friends and took me to the churches. Below are my journals:

Day01 3/10 I've been sick due to on and off going urine affection. In my experience, it went away after couples of days so I didn't even bother going to the doctor here in NZ. Today I'm heading to Cook islands where has been my main destination and the paradise I've been dreaming to be at. Despite I don't feel well, I still think I can do it. A friend of mine drives me to Auckland airport from Thames. I gradually loosing appetite since I've been sick. So I hardly have a lunch. The weather isn't nice. It has been raining and windy. I get out of the car saying goodbye to my friend and take my heavy backpack (10kg) with me. Due to my sickness I need to drink a lot of water, so I spend some time just trying to find a drinking fountain and luckily there's one close to where I check in. When is my turn check-in, I just answer NO to all the questions from the reception guy when he asks about taking anything illegal or dangerous on board. I'm still overwhelmed having such good time from my previous experience staying with my friend for 3 weeks up in the hill in Coromandel. Without thinking too much I have my backpack checked in. After that I go around wandering in the airport eating the sweet apple that's given from my friend. Before I'm getting through the customs I just have a chill shiver runs down to my spine. I FORGET MY LAPTOP IT'S INSIDE OF MY BACKPACK WHICH I CHECKED IN 😭. It's certainly not ok to leave an electronic device in a check-in bag becuz it'll likely to be smashed. I quickly run to the check-in desk and wait in line. Next time I'll not wait, cuz waiting only wast time more risk getting back my laptop. Virgin Australia is the airline which I'm going to fly with to Cook islands. I'm told to wait there for 20 mins before airline worker can retrieve my laptop. So I leave there thinking I'll be back later. After 20 mins I'm back to the check-in desk and waiting for another 15 mins thinking that how can I rush to the gate before it closes in 30 mins. Then an airline lady walks up to me and says she had my laptop but she couldn't find me so she sent it back 😭. My heart just drops..now I'm gonna end up with a broken laptop possibly. I already broke my phone.

Day02 3/11 With the super morning calls from the roosters since 3 am hell I can't lay in peace anymore. Today I'm heading to Aitukati. I wake up close to noon have a quick and small breakfast then wrap up my gear leaving to the airport. There's plenty of time before departure. So I decide to hitchhike. I take a nap and wait for 2 hrs. Walk up to the small airplane and after 1 hrs of flight I arrive in Aitukati in the late afternoon. Again there's no one picking me up. However, there's one lady who's so nice from the airport. She calls my hostel hoping the manager picks up the call so I can get a ride, but so far there's no luck. Then a guy on the scooter bike shows up offering me a free ride to where I stay. They all know each other on this island. So he's helping his neighbor out by doing this favor. He says he also works on board for the water cruise which I'll be attending. After 15mins ride, we arrive to Tom's beach cottage. I don't feel well and am tired so I just lay on the couch in the living room waiting for Theresa the manager gets off her work. She has her normal daily job with hostel business as the side. Once I rest, I start to feel the break down feeling of my physical energy. The body starts to heat up again. After 2 hrs finally Theresa is back, so I can go into my room and fully rest. I've been sick and now I'm even sicker with light fever and ache from my lower part of stomach. I've been wanting to take a hot shower but the water is just cold and there's like barely water coming out. I just think oh man it is what it is on this remote island. I don't think I slept at all. I don't have a good showers and I feel uncomfortable with stickiness on my skin. Tomorrow I'm going to the doctor. Hopefully everything will be alright.
