A Vampire Trial Keeps Restarting Because the Throne Looks Wrong

In this hilarious scene from What We Do in the Shadows, a dramatic vampire trial is supposed to begin with power, mystery, and authority. Instead, it immediately turns into a production problem.

The host is ready to start the ceremony, but there is one major issue: Nandor is too tall. Standing near the throne, he makes her look less intimidating, and she refuses to let the moment continue until the visual balance feels right.

Guillermo tries to help fix the setup, but every solution creates a new problem. Someone suggests moving the throne, everyone starts adjusting positions, and what should be a serious supernatural judgment becomes a messy behind-the-scenes argument about staging.

Just when it finally seems like they can begin again, the host notices that the empty throne now looks strange in the shot. So, of course, everything has to stop again.

The comedy works because everyone treats the ceremony like a sacred ancient ritual, but the real concern is whether the scene looks impressive enough.

So what do you think — is this peak vampire drama, or just the most chaotic courtroom setup ever?
