Shirley Crockett Memorial Concert - May 21, 2023. This multi-media event celebrates the ministry of the late Rev. Shirley Crockett, a beloved pastor at the Guilford (VT) Community Church UCC from 1976-1997. Through archival videos, poetry, storytelling and live performances the GCC community honors the life and legacy of Shirley's ministry on the 25th anniversary of her death. Rev. Larrimore Crockett both created and narrates the event. Program includes: GCC choir led by Andy Davis; numerous colleagues and friends share memories; prayers and passages from Shirley's sermons; a children's story composed by Shirley Crockett; music from Hildegard of Bingen; an original song from Rev. Michael Mario. Musical selections include Sing 'til the Power of the Lord Come Down. Lord of the Dance, Navajo Prayer, Great Big Star, Harmony, Julian of Norwich, and Shirley of Guilford. Thank you to Larry Crockett for all the love, care and generosity in guiding us through these loving memories.
