TCM Race and Hollywood "Mr. Bojangles" Bill Robinson with Richard Wesley

This is one of many interstitials we created for TCM in their Race & Hollywood series. This one focuses on the original "Mr. Bojangles" Bill Robinson who was heavily influential in dance. His routines with Shirley Temple are still as entertaining today. Author John Wesley talks about his love for Robinson and the incredible connection he had with Shirley Temple and Fred Astaire. TCM Writer/Producer Jean Franz produced the interviews and handled post production supervision. The super cool intro and ending graphics were created by Eric Defino at Ray Gun. The interviews were directed by Jean Franz between 2000 and 2004.
