Khardung La is a mountain pass with an elevation of 18,380 ft and is the world's highest motorable pass. These roads are not paved and a bit narrow with very deep valleys right next to you and the frozen mix of ice and dirt makes it slippery too.


This is one of the best places I have visited on my journey across the world. I don't know why it is not featured in the Top 10 or 100 places you must visit in a lifetime,... I guess probably those writers didn't get an opportunity to visit this place.

I suggest everyone do from Kashmir to Leh to Khardungla Pass once in their lifetime.
