World Scout Jamboree 2019 - The Full Experience

In the last video of this current series we take a look at the most recent event, the 24th World Scout Jamboree held at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, West Virginia, USA in July/August 2019. The theme was 'Unlock a New World' and over 40,000 Scouts and leaders attended from 152 nations.

Unit 33 'Yorkham' saw members and leaders from Durham joining up with new friends from North Yorkshire. Unit 30 'The Angels of the North' were all from Durham. All together 54 young people and 6 leaders went as part of units, and several more adults went as part of the near 9000 strong International Service Team.

Most of the footage and photographs come from the members of the unit and the unit leaders. Other footage came from videos made available by the American, Italian and German contingents and other individual attendees.

We take a look at the preparation camps and events, the journeys to and from the Jamboree, the opening and closing ceremonies, Jamboree life and visits to New York, Washington and Canada.
