How much do I feed my pigeons?

I've found feeding racing pigeons is a big debate. It seems like every loft manager has their own strategy and ideas. Some use ready made mixes and others have their own special blend. One thing that seems to be consistent is how much the pigeons should be fed. My uncle and every online resource I've found agrees that you should feed each bird 1 tablespoon of feed per day. The last few days I’ve noticed my pigeons have been leaving some extra food so I’m still finding the perfect amount. It’s important to keep your pigeons hungry so they are eager to eat quickly.
