2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 verse 2 Explained

"That ye be not soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand."

When Paul was with the Thessalonians, he clearly taught them the truth of both the "coming of the Lord", i.e. the Second Coming, and "our gathering together unto Him", i.e. the Rapture.

Now there was a definite and concerted effort to deceive the Thessalonians to thing that they were now living in the "Great Tribulation".
