James made this great find last week. Doc drove about an hour when James called him to help with some video footage.
The rifle is an Enfield Pattern 1853
The hammer is in "half cock" position, leading us to believe that the gun is still loaded. It also appears that the mainspring is broken, possibly indicating the reason the gun was left behind.
