Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon weren't running well during the fall 2010 race at Texas Motor Speedway, and then all hell broke loose. Contact between the two sent Gordon hard into the outside retaining wall, and once both were out of their cars, a brief scuffle broke out. To onlookers, it was one of the most surprising confrontations in recent memory. To Burton, long considered one of the most intelligent and reasoned voices in the garage, the incident became one of the low points of his career.
