Keiko Matsui at BB Kings, NYC -7-26- 2015

Keiko Matsui's BB King's NYC concert, it was her birthday and she celebrated it with the audience. They brought out a cake and flowers and we sang Happy Birthday to her, how special was that. Afterwards, being all caught up in excitement, she came back to address the crowd and started to speak in Japanese! After about two r three minutes, she realized that she was in NYC and not Japan from where she just performed a few nights before, she paused and apologized for the transgression. That was just too funny and we all got a big kick out of it.

Seated front and almost center I was able to capture the full effect of selected portions of the show. What an incredible performance, the best of the many times I've seen her over the years. I never miss her when she's in NYC. Keiko and her band melodically played some of her favorites, mesmerizing her fans yet once again. I had a great time and made some new friends as well! :) Be sure to catch her if she's in a venue near you - you won't be disappointed.
