How to make paper flowers easily? The answer is depend on what kind of paper flower you make. For example making a tissue paper rose is more difficult than making a tissue paper pom poms. To make a paper rose you will need petal templates, leaf, stem, etc, but when you make tissue paper pom poms you only need a stack of tissue papers.
Other than tissue paper pom poms, there’s another paper flower that also easy to make, the flower is carnation. So if people asking you how to make paper flowers easily you can give them two answers, first is tissue paper pom poms, and the second is carnation. We know carnation as a beautiful and popular flower. One thing that makes carnations have become popular is because they come in numerous colors, a very wide range of colors. But do you know that long time ago carnation originally have pinkish-hued color?
Carnations are very rich with symbolism and mythology. Just like roses, each color of carnation has a different meaning. For mother day you can pick a bouquet of pink carnations because they express Mother’s Love. For the one you had crush you can give him/her light red carnations because they express admiration. Dark red carnations meaning deep love and a woman’s affection. White carnation means pure love and good luck. For St. Patrick’s Day you always have to use Green Carnation. Well, i think it’s enough for carnation meaning because our topic today is how to make paper flowers easily.
How to make paper flowers (carnation)? Prepare your materials first:
1. White crepe papers/ white tissue papers
2. Green paper (any kind of paper)
3. Watercolor
4. Paper glue
5. Floral wire/ skewer / any stick you can find.
6. Scissor
7. Zigzag scissor
Are you ready to know how to make paper flowers easily? Follow the steps below (and watch my video):
1. Cut your white crepe paper (or tissue paper) into 6 cm wide and 100 cm long.
2. Dye top of your crepe paper with water color, dye only top of it so you can create stripped carnation. If you want to create a regular carnation you can use an already colored crepe paper.
3. Let your paper dried out.
4. Prepare the stem, cover your floral wire with green paper or floral tape.
5. Glue your white crepe paper around the stem, make a drappery then glue, repeat until finished.
6. Time to make the leaves, actually i’m not making carnation leaves in this tutorial. I use the leaves to support carnation arrangement.
