Wisconsin family pushes for mandatory Narcan in schools after losing son to drug overdose

After losing their son to an accidental drug overdose, a Wisconsin family is working to raise awareness and find solutions. They're pushing for legislation which would require all schools to have Narcan on-hand and available, saying Narcan saves lives. "I know overdose deaths are down. They're down 37% in Wisconsin. But it's not because less people are doing drugs, or drug availability. It's because Narcan is proliferating into our communities," said George Moore III. More and more public health vending machines carrying Narcan are popping up across the region. Earlier this year, in Fond du Lac County alone, nearly a dozen Overdose Aid Kits, or OAKs, were installed, making Narcan more readily available in the community. But one southeast Wisconsin family wants more.
