Pulwama Encounter: Mother Urges Terrorist Son To Surrender Before J&K Encounter | J&K News

Mother's Desperate Plea to Terrorist Son Moments Before Fatal J&K Encounter

This gripping video captures the heart-wrenching final moments of a terrorist, Amir Nazir Wani, as his mother makes a desperate plea for his surrender during a video call, just before he was killed in a gunfight with security forces in Nadir village, Tral, Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir. The footage shows Amir holding an AK-47 while speaking to his mother and sister.

Despite his mother's emotional appeal to surrender, Amir defiantly refused, stating, "Let the army come forward, then I will see." Tragically, Amir, along with two other Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists – Asif Ahmed Sheikh and Yawar Ahmad Bhat, all residents of Pulwama – were killed in the ensuing encounter.

The video call was made from the house where the three terrorists were hiding before the gunfight erupted. Amir also spoke to Asif's sister, who was inquiring about her brother's well-being. Notably, Asif Ahmed Sheikh's house had previously been destroyed by security forces in a significant anti-terrorism operation involving an IED.

Sources indicate that security forces attempted to persuade the terrorists to surrender, but they responded by firing at the jawans, leading to the encounter. This incident marks the second such encounter in the union territory within just 48 hours, following the killing of three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Shopian.

Three AK-47 rifles, along with other arms and ammunition, were recovered from the terrorists killed in Shopian, highlighting the ongoing threat of terrorism in the region.
