The Moody Blues were in Prague in Aug. 20, 1968, and filmed a segment for French TV near Charles Bridge, the day before the Soviet tanks came. The band was in town for a concert at Lucerna, and afterward had to be evacuated by the British Air Force along with British expats. Lead singer and guitarist Justin Hayward later said they didn't realize what was happening until they got back to England, and that they were never paid for the Prague show. He also said the opening Czech band tried to buy their blue jeans from them.
