Rebirthing Breathwork

A summary of this cathartic breathing practice. Please always be guided by your own measure of what's right for YOUR body.

The technique:
Breathing in and out through the mouth, focus on the inhale, filling the upper torso / chest.
Soften the heart, allow the energy it holds to spill out and across your arms and throughout the rest of the body as needed.
Use each exhale as another opportunity to surrender. Breathe in, let go, breathe in, let go. No control of exhale.
Softening the transition between inhale and exhale, so there is no pause. Before you get too full, you release. Before you get too empty, you inhale again. Feeling the graceful connection between the in and out breaths. Connecting them in an effortless circle.
Tension may arise in the body, (called ‘tetany’). Just continue to soften and continue breathing and the energy which is being pooled and restrained will start to flow again.
Trust your body’s natural breath. Your inner ecosystem is being stirred and your energies and chemicals are being redistributed and balanced in harmony. Love all sensations and trust the process. Love leads to love. Life leads to life.
Hand over control to your body until it feels that instead of breathing, you are ‘being breathed’.
