The Elephant Sanctuary | Artie Felling Trees
You may start to see a new face on the EleCams from time to time — Artie! Did you catch him last week downing trees in the habitat? Be on the lookout for him and the other Sanctuary residents at elephants.com/EleCam.
Downing trees is a natural behavior for the African elephants, which assists in seed dispersal and creates feeding options for them and smaller herbivores.
