01_04 Customise Default Layout with Different UI Components of Blender

Here’s a short summary of your fourth session:

Creating a Custom Layout:

Start with a new file in Blender and navigate to the Layout workspace.
Click the top-left icon of any panel to change it to a different editor (e.g., File Browser, Image Editor, Outliner).
Splitting and Joining Panels:

Right-click between panels to access options like Vertical Split, Horizontal Split, Join Areas, and Swap Areas.
Splitting allows you to view multiple panels at once (e.g., 3D Viewport in different angles).
Join Areas to merge two panels back into one.
Creating and Saving Custom Layout:

Use the + icon on the layout bar to create new custom workspaces.
Drag from the corner of a panel to quickly create new panels.
Save the custom layout by going to File - Defaults - Save Startup File. This will ensure the layout persists the next time Blender is launched.
Swapping and Re-arranging Panels:

Use the Swap Areas option to switch the position of two panels.
Restoring Factory Settings:

If you want to revert to the original layout, use File - Defaults - Load Factory Settings.
Keyboard Shortcuts for Quick Panel Access:

Shift + F1: File Browser
Shift + F2: Image Editor
Shift + F3: Compositor / Shader Editor
Shift + F9: Outliner
Shift + F12: Dopesheet / Timeline
Other function keys toggle various panels for quick navigation.
Next session will explore the 3D Navigator in detail.
