HowTo: Preshading with artist pen and marmite chipping

This is another little tutorial clip which I made during the assembling process of the Fairey Fulmar Mk.II, 1:48 (Special Hobby). I tested a new way for me to get the panel lines preshaded without spraying it. Since the Fulmar has a lot of these lines I was afraid of having to use the airbrush. I was glad to find the Pitt artist pen from Faber-Castell which were very useful...
I added the topic "chipping with marmite" which I tested for the first time as well. In combination with alclad II mil-spec colours the chipping works very well. Next steps for the Fulmar will be some kind of washing and weathering - could be seen in the next clip ... Hope you'll like it. Tom Grigat

Hier ist ein weiteres kleines Tutorial, welches während des Stopmotion-Filmes der Fairey Fulmar Mk.II, 1:48 von Special Hobby entstanden ist. Ich war auf der Suche nach einer Möglichkeit ein Vorschattieren ohne den Einsatz der Airbrush zu erreichen, da die Fulmar eine ganze Menge Panels aufzuweisen hat. Dabei war es klasse, dass mir zufällig die Pitt Artist Pen von Faber-Castell in die Hände gefallen sind. Für mich waren sie genau richtig, da ich die Fugenstöße so mit relativ ruhiger Hand nachziehen konnte...
Zusätzlich zeige ich noch, wie gut Chipping mit Marmite und den Mil-Spec Farben von Alclad II funktioniert - was für mich ebenfalls eine Premiere war. Die Fulmar ist jetzt bereit für ein umfängliches washing und weathering - zu sehen im neuen Stopmotion-clip...
