Divorce is hard. Divorce between one country from the rest of the continent—arguably harder. Lieven would know, since he studies the latter. Sorting through all the chaotic meme storm that has come to be known as Brexit, Lieven gives us a clear view to two questions on everyone’s mind: “what just happened??” and “Now what???” while faithfully following the divorce metaphor. Lieven Buysse is Professor of Linguistics and British Culture at the Brussels Campus of KU Leuven, where he is also Campus Dean of the Faculty of Arts. He is regularly asked by Flemish media to analyse the political situation in the UK, which is what he will also do for his TEDx talk on Brexit.
