A 23-year-old Mexican influencer, Valeria Márquez, was shot dead in her beauty salon while live-streaming on TikTok, according to reports from Puerto Rico's El Imparcial. The incident occurred at the Santa María shopping plaza in Jalisco around 6:30 PM on Tuesday. Authorities stated that a man on a motorcycle entered the salon under the pretense of delivering a gift before fatally shooting Márquez in the chest and head.

The Jalisco Prosecutor's Office is investigating the case, noting that Márquez had an active presence on social media. Witnesses reported the shooting as it unfolded during her live broadcast, and the video has since circulated widely online.
