🌹Floral bouquet #acrylicpainting in less than 60 seconds #art #artwork

Join me as I complete this acrylic painting of a floral still life on a 20x20 gallery wrapped canvas. I decided that I needed to switch styles from my normally very detailed painting style of how I paint realistic flowers on large scale painting, to a more abstract style on a smaller scale. I decided to challenge myself further by limiting myself to only using one brush for this art challenge. The floral bouquet ended up with more abstract flowers than my normal style, but I am so proud of this flower painting.

I learned a lot from painting in this style and letting the blocks of color speak for the details, pushing both values and contrast. I enjoyed learning how to paint petals in this style and look forward to attempting this style of painting in future floral still life. I highly suggest pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. Try completely a painting using only one brush. Try painting in a style that is not your normal. You may just surprise yourself by what you can accomplish.
