Box Braids +Alopecia: IG:@irenesbraids

Hi guys, here's a quick video of how I was able to achieve #boxbraids on my client. The goal of this video is to show how you can still perfect box braids while using a weaving net to secure the box braid. I've used the crochet method to loop a thin piece of braiding hair through the net. Second, I began to braid my box braid on top of the thin piece of crocheted hair I looped through the net. Thrid, I began to braid the hair down to my clients desired length. I continued to do this method around the perimeter of the braided section to get the desired fullness we were looking for.

My client has suffered from Alopecia since the 3rd grade, shes always wanted to wear box braids and she wasn't sure if the area where her alopecia has spreaded could be covered for box braids. Out of respect for my client I chose not to show her face to the camera. However, my client LOVESSSS her hair!!! She is so ecstatic of the outcome, I definitely appreciate her for allowing me to record this clip to help others gain a better idea of how they too can achieve this box braid look while using my method.❤

Everyone's case of alopecia is different, not everyone can be a candidate for this method and I highly advise a consultation with your stylist to see if this method can work for you.
