Brexit Will Hit the North of England Hard
Boris Johnson won the parliamentary majority necessary to drive through his hard brexit largely down to former Labour strongholds in the North of England voting Conservative last December. But the economies of the North are going to be particularly badly hit by brexit, even if we get a deal. More jobs lost, more communities abandoned by the government. This will surely rebuild the red wall in the next general election.
