Divya prabandham of the alwars, This is part of the pagal nitya anusandanam.It describes gurubhakti.,Here madhurakavi alwar is singing about his guru nammalwar. TRANSLATION BELOW.

KANNINUN SIRATHAAMBU

1) Leaving aside that Lord Father with special qualities, who allowed Himself to be tied by Yasoda, with a small, thin and knotted cord, I seek refuge with Nammazhvar, who is the pUrnar at Azhvar Thirunagari (Kurugur), the recital of whose divine name, would generate sweetness like a nectar fount on my tongue.

2) Praising Nammazhvar with my tongue, I gained great happiness, which is surrender at his divine golden feet. I know of no lord other than the Kurugur Nambi (Nammazhvar).I will wander everywhere singing the sweetness of Nammazhvar's pasurams.

3) Were I to leave Nammazhvar and return I would see and worship the Lord of the nithyasUris, whose form is dark and delightful. This great gain was obtained by me due to the fact that I surrendered and belonged to Nammazhvar of the great Kurugur.

4) The vaidhikas who are well versed in the four Vedas and are full of high qualities, will consider me as one who is lowly qualities personified. For that very reason, Nammazhvar has the nature of becoming my mother, my father and save me and as such he is my lord.

5) I, who call myself adiyEn today, was attached to and believing in other's good things and women, prior to reaching Nammazhvar. Now I am a devotee of Nammazhvar, who is the leader of Thirukkurugur , which is made of lofty golden mansions.

6) From this day onward for all time to come, Sri Nammazhvar who is my Lord has blessed me to stand fast and keep singing his praises. He who is the leader of Thirukurugur, which is made up of mountainous mansions, will never abandon me at any time; everyone see and understand this.

7) Maran (Nammazhvar) who is the son of Kari and who is my Lord, picked me
and brought me under his grace such that those timeless karmas to which I was attached, were completely destroyed. I am obliged to sing the praises of Sri Sadakopa's grace, who is the repository for beautiful Tamil poems, so that everyone in all eight directions understands them.

8) Nammazhvar graces the devotees, who celebrate His compassion and grace,
by providing them the inner meanings of the Vedas that they attain delight. That Nammazhvar sang the thousand verses of Thiruvaymozhi in sweet Tamil, through His grace. That grace of Nammazhvar alone stands as a great thing in this world.

9) Nammazhvar sang the deep inner meanings of those Vedas which are recited by the great vaidikas, such that they were entrenched in my heart. To that Nammazhvar, who has lofty qualities, to perform service, I have developed love and at that moment itself, I attained the goal which is doing service to him.

10) Even though having no use from them (who are saved by him),and even though they are unqualified to be saved, by his act, Nammazhvar, who is from Thirukkurugur which is surrounded by gardens with singing nightingales, corrects and saves them. To his great divine feet I attempt to show my love.

11) Those who have faith in these words of Madhurakavi Azhvar, which were said by him with great devotion to Nammazhvar who has love and devotion to everyone who is a devotee of the Lord who Himself loves all who seek Him, will find their abode to be Vaikunta.
