The Mario Movie Reviewed by a 7-Year-Old (SPOILERS!)
On opening night last week, Kotor and our daughter went to see The Super Mario Bros Movie. This is her review.
The short version: Mario and Luigi and Toad and Princess Peach? Good. Scary dog? Bad.
The longer version involves Bowser, mushrooms, power-ups, flowers, Mario Kart, and a lengthy history lesson about Donkey Kong and his extended family.
Our daughter's been wanting to do more reviews for a while; she's still interested in doing a Splatoon 3 review at some point. We spent a good chunk of time today trawling around book shops looking for the second volume of the Splatoon manga for her.
The Super Mario Movie was an excellent opportunity to make a review, though: a quick twenty minutes spent chatting in front of a microphone (with a lot of jumping around thanks to all the sugar in her system) and her part of the process was done. She then listened to the whole thing and took out the bits she didn't want in the final video. She's been an aggressive editor; you'd no doubt laugh at some of the bits she decided she didn't want you to hear, but never mind.
Lots of love,
Kotor and 7-Year-Old Gamer
