*read again - there cannot be anyone “better” to someone who’s best.

Robert Trujillo won Metallica bass audition in 2003, and has been the "new" Metallica bass player ever since - almost longer than Jason Newsted and Cliff Burton combined. He’s awesome, but why couldn't Metallica find an even better bassist? Was Rob actually that good, or just his competitors were that bad?
