A premier institution dedicated to education and research in national security and policing

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), an Institute of national importance under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, held a Media Interaction Session at the Kolkata Press Club today to present its academic vision and strategic roadmap for enhancing internal security and encouraging national defence education, with a special focus on the RRU Pasighat Campus in Arunachal Pradesh.

The session was addressed byAvinash Kharel, Director-in-Charge of the Pasighat Campus and Ridhi Banerjee, Teaching cum Research Officer (Police Administration). Dr. Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor, RRU, joined the interaction via video conference. The speakers outlined the university’s mission to serve as a model institution for multi-disciplinary education, research and training in policing, forensic science, cybercrime investigation, homeland security and allied disciplines. The faculty members announced the launch of their national security centric programmes for the academic year 2025–2026, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Doctoral courses across diverse fields such as cyber security, forensic science, police administration, artificial intelligence and much more.
