OSHA Says This Is Your Duty #OSHA#FallProtection#OSHA10#SubpartM#DemolitionSafety#SafetyTraining

In construction, OSHA says fall protection is required at six feet or more above a lower level.
That rule comes from OSHA 1926.501 — Duty to Have Fall Protection.
And that word duty matters.
It means workers must be protected whenever they’re exposed to fall hazards.
Where does that happen?
Unprotected edges.
Leading edges.
Floor holes.
Roof openings.
Hoist areas.
If you can fall six feet or more to a lower level, protection is required.
That protection might be guardrails… safety nets… or a personal fall arrest system.
Here’s the question every worker should ask:
“If I slip right here… where do I land?”
If the answer is a lower level, fall protection needs to be part of the plan.
Recognize the exposure.
Respect the edge.
And stay sharp out there.
