I installed a basic remote start/ car alarm in Ruby Red (2007 Envoy) and documented the process. Consider this a guide, not a how to. I don't want to give anyone the idea that they can watch a youtube video, cut up their ignition harness, and have a working truck at the end of the day. Consider this - I still get emails from people who drained their transfer case fluid first and then realized that they couldn't get the fill plug out. I can say it, I can put it in the description, I could even do annotations (back in the day) and people still wouldn't take the fill plug out first. What could go wrong if I showed people a video of me cutting 6 of the most important circuits in the truck? See my dilemma? But, this is packed with information and some things, like the rear door ajar triggers, which are commonly overlooked, are shown.
