The Jewish Cemetery of Chernivtsi (Czernowitz)

The Jewish Cemetery of Chernivtsi is the last reminder of the thriving Jewish community once woven within the city's rich cultural tapestry. World War II all but brought an end to the community, but the CJCRO, an international group of volunteers, have made strides for over a decade to preserve the memory and history of these people by restoring and maintaining the cemetery.
