This is the Seiko Prospex Alpinist Ginza, limited edition. Easily one of the most surprising and potentially polarising releases of the year.
The stainless steel case has a 38mm diameter, a thickness of 12.9mm and a lug to lug of 46.2mm. The crystal is sapphire and has AR coating on the inside. There is a screw down display case back and also a screw down crown. As this watch sits in the Prospex collection, it also has a 200m water resistance. The dial is what sets this limited edition apart from any other watch in the standard collection, more on that later. The sharp looking hands and indices look fresh and glow bright in the dark. Beating inside is the Seiko’s workhorse caliber 6r35, an automatic movement, featuring time, date and stop seconds. The caliber is, accurate to +25 -15 seconds a day.
This particular edition comes on a stainless steel bracelet and is limited to 3500 pieces.
