He's also known for helping pioneer the hip-hop subgenre trap music. Maintaining his street credibility, according to Young Jeezy, is of the utmost concern to him as an artist. He has also been featured on numerous hip-hop and R&B hit singles. His albums, The Inspiration (2006) and The Recession (2008), both yielded chart-topping singles. On December 15, 2017, Jeezy released his eighth studio album Pressure. After Hurricane Katrina, Jeezy opened his house to the victims in an effort to help them have a place to stay.
