ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Card V2 PCIe 3.0 Comparison Tutorial Install

ASUS makes 3 Hyper M 2 x16 cards. What are the differences? What are their similarities? Will this work in my computer? What are the Requirements? What is Bifurcation? Will this work on x570 Chipset? What about x79 Chipset? What about MAC Support?

Since everyone is asking about the PCIe 3.0 Version 2 card, we're going to Compare all three cards and install that PCIe 3.0 Version 2 card. We'll have links below highlighting all three and M.2 Drives used.

This is a straight out of the box install. Just an I/O Card. M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD Drives will be configured for JBOD - Just a Bunch of Disks! These type of cards do not support M.2 SSDs. They only support M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs.

We're focused on Slot and Lane Assignments. First we'll install the x16 AIC into a x8 Slot to verify Drive locations and orientation then we'll install the x16 AIC into a x16 Slot.

We cover PCIe 3.0 and Discuss PCIe 4.0 on the Gigabyte TRX40 Designare Motherboard and the relevance with the WRX80 Threadripper Pro since ASUS will include their Hyper Quad M.2 x16 card with that ASUS WRX80 Motherboard.
