Two Zen Stories: Sanctuary and Compassion — Monitsu Pamela Weiss — Dharma Talk at City Center

This talk was given as part of the 2025 Spring Intensive at Beginner’s Mind Temple by Monitsu Pamela Weiss, a dual lineage teacher in Soto Zen and Insight Meditation. In the talk, Pamela shares two Zen koans from the Book of Serenity: Case 4, The World Honored One Points to the Ground and Case 54, Yunyen’s Great Compassion. Together these stories describe where to find refuge and how to respond to the cries of the world. Recorded on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
