This PMV is mostly from Ashfur’s perspective. He is over dramatic and sees the things he wants to see. He doesn’t acknowledge reality, instead he is trapped inside his own world of make believe. Like while hanging out with Squirrelflight who is displaying no signs of interest in him, he sees the exact opposite. He sees this gorgeous she-cat wanting him in every way and form, listening and giggling at everything he has to say. In his mind, she WANTS him. Though, when he is rejected by her, he now sees her as a villain. He believes she had played with his feelings, intentionally, and wanted to cause him harm and see him hurt. He sees her mocking and teasing him, and purposefully displaying affection around him to Brambleclaw just to cause him heartache. And then in the fire scene, he finally gains control he lusts after only to wind up dead.
