Can this HOT bait help us hit our fishing goal?

There's no better way to make a day on the water even more enjoyable than to add a challenge. My son, Joel, and I do that frequently, and usually we pit ourselves against each other in low-stakes, one-boat tournaments that result in some penalty for the loser or prize for the victor.

But during our latest foray into the marsh, we decided to team up against the ticking clock to see if we could meet our fishing goal within a limited time period. Joel was especially motivated because I agreed to award him a prize if we crossed the finish line in time.
