DIY Fairy Furniture Tutorial

These items can be used in outdoor fairy homes or for indoor decoration or dollhouse furnishings. Excellent for both beginners and experts, this Fairy House furniture tutorial is a great craft project for all ages.

Children should be assisted by an adult when using scissors/shears and hot glue/adhesive!

"Fairies and Gnomes: Imagine Their Homes" is the 2020 summer learning project of the Mohawk Valley Library System. The mission of this project is to provide a summer of magical opportunities for families. By working together, using social-distancing guidelines, and natural “found” materials, families can build fairy and gnome homes at their own residences, on library lawns, in community parks and other local sites — wherever the shy and mystical “wood folk” might be found!

The website also provides information for other exciting activities such as recipes for making fairy and gnome foods, scavenger hunts, fun coloring pages, book lists, and a map identifying libraries, parks, and other public spaces where you can see other people’s fairy and gnome homes.
