Vocal fold shortening (Wendler Glottoplasty), tensioning (Cricothyroid Approximation) and thinning (Laser Glottoplasty)
Voice feminization surgery is done through mouth, there is no skin incision on the neck. It is possible to discharge the patient from hospital the same day of surgery, several hours after operation. Change in voice is permanent. A complete voice rest period for 10 days is needed after surgery.
