Unfit For Publication - Part One - Setting The Scene

Peter de Waal, Peter Bonsall-Boone, David Conolly and Peter Trebilco have been involved in this project looking at an often ignored and barely explored era of the history of New South Wales. This first installment – Setting the Scene – provides an overview of Unfit for Publication. This video starts lifting the veil on the hitherto hidden documents of male-to-male sex ‘crimes’ in New South Wales, 1727-1930. It tells the stories of men victimized by draconian criminal laws for something they considered to be part of their humanity.
