Half Dome Hike - Yosemite National Park - Vernal & Nevada Waterfalls

Climbing the Half Dome Cables in Yosemite National Park. Half Dome Hike is an extremely strenuous & breathtaking 18 mile round trip hike via the mist trail. You will pass 2 beautiful waterfalls the Vernal Fall (318ft) and Nevada Fall (594 ft) along the way to the top.

If you hike between May and July, be prepared to get extremely soaked from the mist trail as you approach Vernal Fall as you can see in the video.

It took us about 12 hours to complete the hike which included an hour break on top of Half Dome. We started the hike at 3:45 in the morning and got back to the car at 4pm. Total elevation gain is about 5000 feet. Permit is required to climb when the cables are up between May and October.
