Serbia: Filmmaker Emir Kusturica says Putin’s ‘gentle nature’ to thank for state of Russia today

Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica praised Russian President Vladimir Putin's 'gentle nature' in re-kindling a sense of national pride in its history and culture, speaking from Mecavnik, Sunday.

The Sarajevo-born Kusturica, who is also an actor and musician, also talked of Serbia and Russia's intertwined histories before referring to Western philosophy as being based on individualism, while that of Russia and Serbia focuses on collectivism.

Referring to Western principles as those of the 'wolf', Kusturica also went on to say that the world is becoming 'deadly serious.'
