Titan Cup 1996 a must win match for both teams - India vs Australia @ Bangalore. Local boys Anil Kumble and Javagal Srinath turn it on for India with a superb match winning partnership when everyone thought the match was all but over at 164/8 chasing 216. The crowd was now holding its breath in anticipation. They sensed something remarkable happening; something which cricket fans of that era were not quite used to. Tendulkar was declared as the Man of the Match, but for the crowd, Srinath and Kumble were the heroes of the day. The match would go down in Indian cricketing history as one of the most thrilling contests. And India would eventually go on to win the Titan Cup beating South Africa in the final.
