How to Cook PORK ADOBO | The BEST and EASIEST Pork Adobo Recipe | Lutong Pinoy TV
In this video, I will teach you how to cook the best and easiest Filipino Pork Ribs Adobo recipe.
Adobo is considered by many as the Philippine’s national dish because of its popularity, ease in preparation, and long storage life.
It is a simple and easy to cook Filipino dish that involves meat, seafood, or vegetables marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaves, and black peppercorns, which is browned in oil, and simmered in the marinade.
Adobo is not only limited to pork and chicken, other meats, seafoods, and vegetables such as squid, goat meat, veal, beef, shrimp, river spinach can also be cooked this way.
The term Adobo came from Spanish word “adobar”, it means “marinade”, “sauce” or “seasoning”. There are many ways to cook adobo.To name a few: “Adobo sa Gata”, “Adobong Matamis”, “Adobong Tuyo”, “Adobong Masabaw”, “Adobong Puti” and “Adobo sa Kalamansi. In this video, we will cook the easy and the traditional way of cooking adobo. It’s a perfect blend of savory, tangy, salty, and sweet. Let’s Start Cooking!

List of Ingredients for our easy and simple Pork Ribs Adobo recipe:
1 Kilo Pork Ribs
6 Cloves Crushed Garlic
1 Teaspoon Peppercorn
2 Pieces Bay Leaves
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
1/4 Cup Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Lime, Lemon or Kalamansi
1 Cup Water
Cooking Oil, for frying
HOW TO COOK PORK RIBS ADOBO? The BEST and EASIEST Pork Adobo Recipe!
Step 1. In a medium bowl put the pork ribs (cut into large bite-sized pieces).
Step 2. Add peppercorn, bay leaves, crushed garlic, soy sauce, lime, vinegar.
Step 3. Mix them well and cover with aluminum foil or cling wrap.
Step 4. Put inside the fridge and marinate for 30 minutes.
Step 5. Remove the bowl from the fridge after 30 minutes.
Step 6. Heat pot over medium heat and add enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
Step 7. Sear the pork ribs until slightly browned.
Step 8. Flip over to the same on the other side.
Step 9. Sauté the garlic and bay leaves from the marinating sauce till lightly brown and fragrant.
Step 10. Add the pork ribs and sauté for 3 minutes.
Step 11. Then add the marinating sauce followed by 1 cup of water. Add more water if needed.
Step 12. Simmer until the pork ribs are tender and and the desired amount of sauce has been reached.
Step 13. Best serve over steamed rice..Enjoy!
