Launching Your Book: Advance Review Copies (ARCs)

I'm breaking down the essential steps for launching your book in several videos.

This next step is one that you want to start on as soon as possible. Reviews are the number one way to help your book reach new people. You want to launch your book with as many reviews as possible. This can be done by sending out advance copies of your book to readers who will leave a review when the book goes live. These are called ARCs.

Before you just sent them your book you should reach out to them and confirm that they still want to receive a review copy. You will also need to follow up with them the day before and the day of your book launch so that they remember to post their review. Amazon does not allow reviews to be posted until the book is live, however they can post their review ahead of time to Goodreads.
