360 VIDEO: Fly in a B-29 Superfortress that was found crumbling in the Mojave Desert

"Doc" is a vintage B-29 Superfortress, one of only two that can fly in the U.S. The airplane spent four decades as a crumbling, derelict bombing target in the Mojave desert, one lucky hit away from joining almost all the other B-29 Superfortresses on the scrap heap. It’s taken a heroic effort from volunteers and an ocean of money from individual and corporate donors -- including the Boeing Company, the plane’s original builders -- to pull off “Doc’s” unlikely rebirth. The plane flew as part of the Joint Base Andrews Air Show on Sept. 16 and 17, 2017. Subscribe to The Washington Post on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2qiJ4dy
