Unlocking energy citizenship – Integrated tools for energy communities and citizens (recording)

Easily available, understandable, and reliable information is critical to strengthening energy citizenship and energy communities. There is a large gap in knowledge and skills (managerial, financial, and technological) between citizens who seek to join, set-up or manage energy communities, and the authorities and market actors who govern energy systems. Re-visit the recording of the second Community Energy Academy live training, which took place online on 31.5.2023, and which provided a structured explanation of different types of knowledge barriers to community and citizen-led energy actions. With support from expert speakers, the session also explored integrated approaches and knowledge tools at the European and national levels to help encourage citizens to set-up and mainstream community energy.
